Constructed later than most other buildings on the estate, the cottage block was the residence of the Hay family (cousins of the Berry family). Now 6 village-rooms situated at the heart of the historic property.

The last remaining convict cottage in the district. It is of similar design to the cottages which once populated the quieter areas of the estate. Lovingly restored and refurbished, the convict-cottage is now a village-suite.

Housing the famous horses of the colony including “Jerry Bailey” and “Sellem” and frequently housing the first Melbourne Cup winner “Archer”, the Stables have been meticulously restored and converted into five charming, 4 star village-rooms.

Originally the residence of Alexander Berry’s servants and groomsmen and Store-room for the family’s flour, meat, sugar and tea rations. Overlooking the estate’s landscaped grounds and gardens, the Servants Quarters have been restored and converted into 4 village-rooms & 2 village-suites.

In the early 1800’s the Plumbers Shop was a hub of activity. The oldest timber building on the South Coast, it was the only workshop in the district for quite a while. Although only a third of its original size, it was large enough to be restored and converted into 3 popular village-rooms

Constructed in 1982 as a manager’s residence, it was converted into 2 village-Rooms and 4 village-suites in 1988. Recently refurbished, the Lodge’s stunning suites boast views of Coolangatta’s sprawling vineyards.

One of the first buildings constructed on the property. The original bellows from the Blacksmiths Shop are now located in our Restaurant. These days the Blacksmiths Shop is nestled between the historic Great Hall and one of the estate’s many vineyards. Three village-rooms are available.

A charming cottage-style room originally used to house the saddles and harnesses for Alexander Berry’s thoroughbred horses. Following restoration and refurbishment, the Harness Room now comprises a single village-room.

The Dairy

When farming operations ceased at Coolangatta in the mid-seventies, the Dairy was transformed into 3 village-rooms. The Dairy is situated close to the convict cottage, on the edge of our picturesque Golf-course.
